ROSS ANDERSON
Clinic Owner/Physical Therapist
Education/Certification:
Ross has a Biology degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, CA and a Masters degree in physical therapy from Chapman University in Orange, CA. Ross is currently licensed as a physical therapist in the state of Washington. He is also an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the APTA Private Practice Section.
Experience:
Ross has more than 20 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy.
According to Ross:
“I like to work with all ages of patients and find satisfaction learning from all generations. It really gets fun when you have an older patient motivating and pushing a younger teen.”
On a personal note:
“I have a lovely wife and we are blessed with two beautiful daughters. I have a passion for running and achieved one of my life-long goals by running the Boston marathon in 2000. I enjoy tennis, hiking, skiing and most other outdoor activities. Being a homeowner has baptized me into “do-it-yourself” carpentry and I have learned many tips. One is that you need the right tool to get the job done right (at least that’s what I tell my wife to justify buying another tool).”

JOEY VISSER
Physical Therapist
Education/Certification:
Joey has a degree in Human Movement Science from Utah State University, and a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Washington University in St Louis, MO. He is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, as well as a member of both the orthopedic and sports physical therapy sections.
Experience:
Joey is a graduate of Washington University in St Louis, where he has a clinical background with the Movement System Impairment (MSI) model.
According to Joey:
“I enjoy working with patients of all ages and helping them to get moving and return to the activities they love. With my background in running and sports, I like working with those trying to get back to the big game/race. Whether it’s playing a pickup game with some friends and family, or running a marathon.”
On a personal note:
“I am a new resident to Washington, and have been loving every bit of it. I am an avid runner and swimmer, and I enjoy hiking, basketball, soccer, and just about any other sport/outdoor activity. I am always ready to explore new things, and am excited to see all that Washington has to offer.”

MARIA BOKOR
Physical Therapist
Education/Certification:
Maria has a degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Puget Sound. She is certified through the Women’s Health section of the American Physical Therapy Association as a pelvic floor specialist, and is also an Orthopedic Movement Specialist certified by PT and Feldenkrais practitioner, Gordon Browne.
Experience:
Maria has 16 years of clinical experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy as well as a background in pediatric and stroke rehabilitation.
According to Maria:
“Each patient coming in the door offers a unique challenge and tells a fascinating story about why they are coming to physical therapy. I feel it is a great honor to learn about each person’s particular issues and to play a part in the recovery process that helps them return to their favorite activities.”
On a personal note:
“I am the Associate Principal Violist of Symphony Tacoma, and a private music teacher. I also enjoy Tai Chi, yoga, and pilates. I am blessed with a beautiful daughter and a wonderful son.”
BRYSE PAFFILE
Physical Therapist
Education/Certification:
Bryse has Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Physical Therapy from Pensacola Christian College, and a Doctorate degree in Physical therapy from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO. He is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and a member of the research section.
Experience:
Bryse is a graduate of Southwest Baptist University with a clinical education in pain neuroscience education and implementation of functional training in treating patients. He has also been a presenter at the combined sections meeting of the APTA.
According to Bryse:
“During my graduate education I was able to attend 2 mission trips to Peru and East Asia. It was an opportunity that helped me understand that physical therapy can be performed no matter the language or cultural barriers. I enjoy working with anyone to return to doing what they enjoy. It has been a passion for me to help others recover with effective and researched treatment options in order to reach attainable goals.”
On a personal note:
“I was born and raised in the Northwest and enjoy the outdoors, hiking, climbing, and any water sport. I have also enjoyed flatwater sprint canoeing internationally and I currently coach locally in Gig Harbor.”

MYCHAL MCNAMEE
Physical Therapist Assistant
Education/Certification:
Mychal is a graduate of Green River College with an Associates in Applied Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
According to Mychal:
“I like to make physical therapy fun while teaching my patients and helping them regain their strength. It’s important for me to get to know my patients on a personal level as well. Learning more about their hobbies and passions creates a more comfortable place for them to be and gets them excited about coming to therapy.”
On a personal note:
“I have a wife and a young daughter and I enjoy spending most of my free time with my girls. Being a dad is truly awesome and I enjoy every minute of it. My hobbies are all centered around sports and fitness. I played many sports during my youth and I have stayed active ever since. While I don’t play many organized sports lately, I enjoy running and lifting weights on a regular basis.”

ASHLEY PARRIES
Physical Therapist Assistant
Education/Certification:
Ashley is a graduate of Green River College with an Associates in Applied Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
According to Ashley:
“I enjoy helping people get back up on their feet and doing what they love and/or need to do.”
On a personal note:
“I enjoy participating in sports and being outdoors. I have played many sports over the years, but these days l continue to play volleyball outside of work.”

ALEX BENOIT
Physical Therapist Assistant
Education/Certification:
Alex is a graduate of Olympic College with an Associates in Applied Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
According to Alex:
“I enjoy working with patients of all ages. It is one of the most rewarding feelings when I help someone return to an activity such as sports or even tending their garden, pain free.”
On a personal note:
“I love getting outside and playing basketball, soccer or golf. In my free time I also enjoy spending time with my wife and dog as well as playing video games.”

KATIE SPANGLER
Physical Therapist Assistant
Education/Certification:
Katie is a graduate of Green River College with an Associates in Applied Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

“The best part about working in the physical therapy field is getting to know the patients and helping them reach their fullest potential.”
On a personal note:
“I have an amazing husband and a busy two year old that bring me so much joy and adventure. When I have a free day, I love spending it outdoors either walking through a local park or hiking at Mount Rainier.”

BRITNEY FISCHER
Physical Therapist Assistant
Education/Certification:
Britney is a graduate of Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a graduate of PIMA Medical Institute with a Physical Therapist Assistant degree.
According to Britney:
“Anchor PT has become my second home and each patient I treat as I would my own family. I enjoy connecting with clients on a personal level and find the greatest satisfaction in seeing them reach their goals.”

“I was born and raised in Washington and enjoy all the PNW has to offer including hiking, running, biking, kayaking, and practicing yoga.”

AMANDA HOSTETLER
Physical Therapist Assistant
Education/Certification:
Amanda is a graduate of Pima Medical Institute, Seattle with an Associate’s of Occupational Science as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
According to Amanda:
“I have a passion for physical therapy because it is not just a quick fix to an injury or disease process. We give patients education and tools that allow them to heal, but can also be utilized to offer them a healthier quality of life at home and after they stop coming to the clinic.”
On a personal note:
“I’m originally from the East Coast, but have made the Pacific Northwest my home since 2009. I moved to Seattle to earn my degree and chose to stay in Washington afterwards. I love to explore nature; hiking, kayaking, camping, and doing anything outside when I have free time. I’m here to experience all life has to offer.”

COURTNEY BYLIN
Physical Therapist Assistant
Education/Certification:
Courtney is a graduate of Green River College with an Associates in Applied Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition from Bastyr University and has a WA State Teaching Certification from the University of Washington.
According to Courtney:
“I enjoy working with a wide variety of patients and hope to make their experience as enjoyable and beneficial as possible. Laughter is a must during therapy, so I am sure to be cracking jokes during every appointment.”
On a personal note:
“Outside of work, I am happily married and the proud mother of 2 young boys. We love outdoor adventures, Legos and lots of popcorn with our movies. I am an avid runner and love all things fitness. Currently, I have participated in over a dozen half marathons and a couple triathlons.”

SHELDON MORTON
Medical Massage Therapist
Education/Certification:
Sheldon graduated with honors in massage from Ashmead in 2006. He is uniquely certified in both medical massage therapy and lymphatic drainage.
Experience:
Sheldon has 10 years of experience in therapeutic/treatment massage.
According to Sheldon:
“I have been a massage therapist for 10 years, and each day it still seems new to me. I still get excited about the fact that I can make a difference in people’s physical and mental health. My approach is to be empathetic to each client’s specific needs.”
On a personal note:
“Outside of work I enjoy mentoring young men. I am an assistant coach to my youngest son’s AAU basketball team. I have been married to my best friend, my wife, for 17 years. We have two boys, ages 23 and 16. I am a HUGE basketball and football fan.”
